A man who hunts for monsters, treasures and lands of mystery, thereby protecting the order of mankind and nature, is known as a “hunter”. When leading character Gon learns that his father-said to have died-is still alive somewhere as a famous hunter, Gon begins a journey to find his father so that Gon may become a hunter just like his father. In order to become a qualified hunter, however, one must pass an austere test. It is said that only one in tens of thousands, one in hundreds of thousands can pass this test… Now Gon sets out on a dangerous and exciting adventure hoping to become a great hunter like his father. Gon: Gon is the son of a legendary hunter, Jin. Once Gon learns of his father’s past, he also sets out to become a hunter and find his father. Curarpikt: Curarpikt is the last living descendant of the Kuruta tribe. He hopes to become a hunter in order to capture the pirate group “Genei Ryodan”, which killed all of Curarpikt’s comrades. Leorio: Leorio aims to become a hunter for money. He wants to use the money to become a doctor and cure sick children for free. Killua: Killua is a member of the assassin family Zoldick. He wants to become friends with Gon, and doesn’t want to have assassins for friends. Hysoka: Hysoka is a conjurer with a dangerous personality. Killing people is his hobby.
