 Kyosuke Kano, a 16 years old boy, is our central character. He used to be a good soccer player in a junior high school, however he has decided not to play soccer anymore...because of his older brother, Seisuke.
The inferior complex against Seisuke refrains Kyosuke from soccer...
When he is in the first year of a high school, his destiny suddenly starts to move again...
By accident, he becomes a coach of a female soccer club. And this event reminds him of how much he still loves soccer. Kyosuke decides to join a soccer club to play soccer again.
Playing soccer in the team and meeting various attractive people, Kyosuke grows up to be a great soccer player as well as an independent adult.
Based on "HUNGRY HEART" by Yoichi Takahashi, the author of "Captain Tsubasa", the dramatic animation series is fully packed of exciting soccer performances, friendships and heart-warming stories.

Kyosuke Kano:
Kyosuke is a 16 years old boy with orange hair, in the first year of Jyoyo Akanegaoka high school.
His position is FW. He is a typical example of a shooting scorer. He is not quite a technician, but very tough and powerful. He has an great opposition and inferior complex against his older brother, Seisuke, who is on the way to great success as a super soccer player.
He once quited soccer in junior high school, however when he realizes that he still loves soccer very much , he decides to join the soccer team to be the No.1 striker in the world.

Rodrigo:
Rodorigo is a scholarship student from Brazil , in the first year of Jyoyo Akanegaoka high school.
His position is MF. He was scouted to raise up the level of Jyoyo Akanegaoka's soccer team. Rodrigo's come to Japan with a strong determination to improve his soccer talent and to become a professinal player.
He always performs on his own way and depends too much on his techniques. And such his attitude sometimes causes friction among the team.

Koji Jefferson Sakai:
Koji, a half-Japanese half-Swedish boy, is in the first year of Jyoyo Akanegaoka high school. His position is GK. Because his father is a diplomatist, he lived in Europe for a long time and performed as GK in several soccer teams in European countires.
He's disappointed at Japanese soccer.

Miki Tsujiwaki:
Miki is the captain of the female soccer club, in the first year of Jyoyo Akanegaoka high school.
She really loves to play soccer. Miki tries to get Kyosuke into the female soccer club as their team coach.

Kazuhito Mori:
Kazuhito is an assistant manager of the soccer team. Although he decided to give up playing soccer because of his injury, he still loves soccer more than anybody, so he became an assistant manager.
He's full of information about soccer and takes good care of teammates as a assistant manager.

Seisuke Kano:
Seisuke is Kyosuke's older brother. He is a promissing soccer player and made a contract with AC Milan.

Kaori Domoto:
Kaori , Seisuke's girlfriend, is a dietician at Jyoyo Akanegaoka high school's dormitory.
